Now awhile back I had my iPod touch 3rd generation jailbroken for a few days. I must say the experance had its good and bad points. Although you can customize stuff that Apple do not want to play with. All this extra stuff tends to make the battery life even more worst, then what it normally is.
Yes, it may be fun to jailbreak and yes there are cool themes in the cydia store. I just don’t find jailbreaking really that great. As you tend to be left on a old version of iOS till a jailbreak is released. Also the disavantage of doing a tethered jailbreak as if you turn off your device you will have to do the jailbreak process over again.
I must admit that jailbreaking can be made easy if you use a site on your device for example, jailbreakme.com, which makes jailbreaking easy. As I do use my device on a daily basis, I don’t want to be recharging my device at least every few hours each day, as I use my device everyday for things such as social media and music, I get an average of 6-8 hours each day, and when my device was jailbroken, I noticed that the battery was going down a lot quicker.
Those are just my thoughts.
